I missed making my New Moon card yesterday.
For a moment I was frustrated with myself, but then I realised this personal practice isn’t about perfect timing. It’s about taking a moment to pause, reflect and create.
Frogs have been very much on my mind recently. Last weekend I spent a wonderful day at a Mister Finch workshop learning to make one of his delightful textile frogs, and as I’m about to head off to France to visit my Auntie Jane—who has a long-standing love of frogs—this little creature seemed like the perfect choice for this New Moon card.
Sometimes life doesn’t unfold exactly as we’d planned. We miss deadlines, take unexpected turns or find ourselves on a different path altogether.
Perhaps that’s where the best stories begin.
Intention
I choose to welcome the unexpected. The scenic route often reveals the most beautiful places.
Practice
Today I release the need for perfect timing and perfect plans. When life takes an unexpected turn, I’ll pause instead of resisting. I’ll look for beauty in the detours, accept what I cannot control, and be fully present wherever I find myself.
