A Little Festive Fair Moment

This evening I pulled together a very last-minute craft stall for our school fair using all sorts of random leftover stock I had tucked away. It wasn’t polished or planned – just gathered, displayed, and shared – and it ended up being such a lovely experience.

It’s the first time I’ve done a craft stall in years, and honestly, it was really good fun. I’m still far more comfortable making than selling (that part will probably always feel a bit awkward), but it was a real treat to be part of such a warm, festive school event. Parents and children wandering about, chatting, laughing, enjoying a simple celebration at the end of a very long term – it felt properly joyful.

I work with some truly lovely souls, people who go above and beyond every single day to create a caring, creative environment for our young people. Being part of this little moment reminded me just how special that is.

I only managed to grab a few quick photos of my stall, but the evening has definitely given me a taste for doing more fairs – and for making more stock – in the new year. Sometimes it just takes a small, spontaneous moment to nudge you gently back towards something you love.

Here’s to festive endings, creative beginnings, and community ❤️
