A Day of Creativity in London: Dishoom, Laika Exhibition, and Tate Britain Adventure

I went on a trip to London recently and had a fantastic creative day. The day began with an amazing breakfast at Dishoom in Coal Drops Yard. this was my 3rd visit to Dishoom and it did not disappoint.

Then we headed over to the south bank because I wanted to see the Laika Exhibition at the BFI. If you haven’t heard of Laika Studios, they are stop motion specialists. They have created several films, including Coraline, The Box Trolls and Missing link.

I was absolutely blown away by the exhibit, its quite small, but packed with so many models, props and illustrations. I’m planning on a return trip before it closes in October.

I wanted to see Battersea Power Station since it had been refurbished. I only remember it from when I was a student in the late 90’s. At that time, it was completely derelict. It was impressive, but basically a flash shopping center. We continued our day of culture by heading to the Tate Britain.
